Steen & Strøm collaborate with Dior for this year's Christmas window exhibition

Steen & Strøm is pleased to announce its partnership with Parfums Christian Dior to display the Maison’s imaginarium in a first-ever Christmas takeover

Steen & Strøm, Oslo’s luxury department store set within the Promenaden Fashion District, is partnering with Parfums Christian Dior to celebrate the festive season with a unique window display campaign under the title ‘Midnight Strikes at the Château de la Colle Noire’. The spectacular window display will be unveiled on the 19th of November at the department store, which has been selected as one of the few venues around the world to host the initiative. 

Steen & Strøm first welcomed Dior Beauty following the department store’s NOK 300 million (GBP 25.7 million) refurbishment and upgrade of their 900 sq.m. (9,700 sq. ft.) Beauty Hall, in May 2021. Taking a central role in this historic renovation, Dior Beauty opened its first Boutique in the Nordics, allowing customers to experience the entire Dior beauty universe and be guided by Dior's experts across Dior Makeup, Dior Skincare, and Dior Fragrances. The boutique offers advanced skin care treatments as well as perfumes, candles, and soaps within La Collection Privée, which has never been available in Norway, and an exclusive selection of Dior sunglasses. 

For a very special holiday season, the House of Dior has collaborated with Italian artist Pietro Ruffo who has re-imagined the brand’s iconic imagery that evolves around the heavenly constellations and the beauty of nature, in Pietro’s own words:  “For this project, I imagined myself laying on the grass of the Château de la Colle Noire at night, looking toward the north, admiring the constellations around the north star, the little dipper, the giraffe, the lynx, the dragon, Perseus, Cassiopeia… which seem to dance in the sky. Enchanted by this sight, I can smell flowers all around me: violet, angelica, gardenia, jasmine, orange blossom, frangipani, magnolia, the scents of rose and myrtle – all these aromas illuminated by the constellations, bringing them to new and magical.”

For the past 200 years, across its vast history, Steen & Strøm has become a symbol of Christmas in the city—with the Christmas window displays providing fond memories for multitudes of visitors. With this year’s display, Steen and Strøm hope to create new memories for generations to come—as they experience the magical world of Dior Beauty. 

Together with this first-ever partnership with Parfums Christian Dior, Steen & Strøm is honouring the Scandinavian tradition of the festivities with unique brand-new decorations and in-store pop-ups that will sparkle the Christmas soul among clientele.
